To be or not to be…
trendy that is. I am so anti-trendy it hurts. Ok, it doesn’t really hurt – I just wrote that for the dramatic effect. So in this world of blogging, I have surfed other peoples sites for a long time and always thought to myself. “What is the big deal with blogging, no way am I ever going to do that, everyone else is doing it, and I don’t want to do it just because everyone else is doing it, it’s too trendy”
So what happened in the interim? Did it suddenly get less trendy, or did I just decide it was less trendy? I vote it was probably the latter of the two. So am I trendy or not? Well since this is my blog, and blogging has been around for a while now- I vote that I’m not trendy. All in favor say AYE! Good I’m glad we agree- now that we’ve established that I’m not trendy, we can get on to the real reason I’m here. (As if I have to validate myself or something)-
“Why I decided to join the ‘trendy’ crowd and start blogging”
1) I want a nice non cluttered place to store my thoughts- computers are good at organizing information- and I LOVE to be organized
2) I want to be able to interact with other bloggers on even ground
3) I’ve come to a point where I feel like I don’t have to be a blogger to be liked by other bloggers- thus, no pressure to meet anyones expectations but my own- what a relief.
4) After surfing around other peoples blogs, I finally get what a blog is all about- so I can feel confident while I blog that I’m doing it ‘right’.
This is so funny, I’ve probably contradicted myself so many times- everyones just a little more confused than when they started- I hope you haven’t lost too many brain cells in the process of reading this. I should post a warning- I am not liable for any loss of brain cells that may occur while reading my blog.
So I want to blog about so many things- I’m really excited to start and I hope you’ll stick around and comment when you feel like it.
AYE
