A little bit of everything (pictures included)

Well today has come and gone. What I thought was going to be a dull, long, drawn out day turned out to be quite nice. Since I am so ready for this baby to come, he has decided to take his sweet time. I’m a little antsy, so I’ve had to get creative with how I spend my days after all is said and done. Today was no different.

I woke up well rested and made my family breakfast. Jonathan and I went visiting teaching for an hour and then we went to the park for an hour. Thankfully it was beautifully sunny and crisp- it was good to be out in nature for a while.

While at the park I called my dear friend since 6th grade and we had a nice conversation. She updated me on her life and I likewise updated her on mine. It’s usually kind of an awkward start when we first start talking, but by the time we’re done it’s so uplifting and refreshing.

After the park, we came home, had some lunch and watched a couple episodes of The Cosby Show. I started falling asleep and so decided to do some “relaxeration” (that’s how Jonathan says it) and take a nap. Sometimes Jonathan will have one earpiece and I’ll have the other (on my MP3 player) and he will fall asleep with me. Not so today.

Afterwards we surfed on the internet for a while, listening to some kids music. It’s some fun stuff- you can listen to a few samples of Charlotte Diamonds music

I had activities day with the 8-11 year old girls in our church and we did a service project. We all split up in cars and went to different peoples houses to do what they needed help with. I took Jonathan with me and we went to rake an elderly sisters back yard. We had alot of fun- Jonathan raked and unraked his piles and got a kick out of the sound the metal rake made on the cement porch.

We got home, colored in his coloring book, had some dinner- watched another episode of cosby and took some silly pictures.

Now he’s asleep and I have a moment to myself. I feel really blessed looking back over today. To be in nature, to be out serving those in need and to just take some time to be silly. Who could ask for anything more?
