My early perfect mothers day

What a wonderful husband I have. And what a wonderful day today was. Even though I was BLOODY tired today and I was debating whether or not I would be grumpy today as I layed in bed this morning, it turned out perfectly.

Hans let me 'sleep in' till 8, even though Lachlan didn't- he was laying next to me in the bed and kicking me and grabbing my lips and eyes and poking my nose, and just smiling. he's too cute to not look at or pay attention to. It was still restful though just being in bed. I enjoy having the boys wake me up in the morning for the most part. They're both so happy, sometimes too happy, I'm not a morning person- that's something I have to work on.

Well I lazed myself out of bed still in my garmies/jammies/definately not presentable to public by any means. While I got to making breakfast Hans was moving things out of the living room. Since vacumming is his job on Saturdays I just thought he was being really thorough and I appreciated it. Then I heard a knock at the door- so I told Hans to get it while I ran to get dressed. When I was presentable enough I came back out to find out that it was the carpet cleaners at the door. What a WONDERFUL surprise/early mothers day present. Since we are in a tiny apartment and our kitchen/living area/entry ways is combined and it's carpeted you can imagine how nasty gross it gets quickly. It's amazing how happy a clean carpet makes me feel, but what a great way to start the day.

Hans also took Jonathan to the park to ride his new bike and get out of my hair and that was so sweet too.

After breakfast, I cut hans hair, we all showered and then we went to home depot to get wood, soil, seeds etc for our square foot garden- it was alot of fun and the weather was perfect today. Not too hot, not too cold, with a slight warm breeze and sunshine- perfect!

After that we went to a friends open house. She got her masters and so we visited with them for a while. We came home and layed around/relaxed- we were all pretty tired.

then hans was going to go to the store- but I wanted to be with him/as a family- the day was going so well so I didn't want it to end- so he suggested we could all go to the store and we could even walk. Albertsons is about 1 block away- so it's a nice stroll. What a treat- he knows that I love to be outside and to walk and be as a family- so it was really lovely.

We walked over to tegmeyers salad works for dinner (he knows I love salad too) and then to albertsons. We came home and put the boys to bed and now we're going to watch dr who. and maybe the movie Becoming Jane.

What a wonderful day I've had. Thanks so much Hans. I love you and I feel blessed to be the mother of your children. mwa!
