alternative cleaning methods

so i have been using alternative cleaners for my household cleaning for a few years now. I buy these at the health food store and I am blessed to not be wheezing and gasping and wearing a gas mask every time i go to clean my home. However, with recent rises in cost of just about everything I've been trying out more frugal alternatives to the alternatives- namely Baking Soda, Vinegar, Peroxide and Borax.
yesterday I cleaned my bathroom with vinegar and baking soda. It worked wonderfully and I even had Jonathan in there cleaning with me without any worries of his inhaling toxic fumes. I poured vinegar in the toilet and let it sit for 1/2 hour then I tackled the bathtub.
I sprayed vinegar all over the walls and tub and let that sit for a while- then I sprinkled baking soda when I was ready to scrub. I got quite a workout with all the elbow grease I put out- but it was because I haven't done my walls in forever and we have REALLY hard water- so now that they're all spic and span it should be a snap to keep up. It was amazing to see the vinegar work to get out the dirt where the other cleaners never got quite that deep of a clean, even after waiting for it to set in.
The toilet seat, and tank were wiped down quickly with a spray of vinegar and paper towel. Same for the sink and mirror. Waalah! No gas mask
My other project I have attempted is our oven. I made a paste of baking soda and salt and mixed it with water and smeared that all over the inside of our oven and oven door. That was over 2 months ago. I got the door cleaned but got so "burnt out" that I gave up on the rest. Life just seems to be more important than dirty ovens. So while it worked I wouldn't say it worked more or less than any of the other cleaners out there. However I prefer a gas mask free face- so I will tackle the rest a little at a time here and there.
I am loving learning all the ways these natural and CHEAP products have streamlined my cleaning and kept my health in check. Give it a try- you won't regret it

So vinegar on the toilet. . . Does it even kill all the germs and stuff? I think tea tree oil is an antibacterial, and I bought some, but I don't have a recipe. Have you used that at all?
