Posted by Erin Fugal Fri, 27 Jun 2008 01:36:00 GMT

My birthday is coming up this 4th of july, for those of you that care to know- so here is my wishlist if anyone can afford me ;) but gifts aren't what make my birthday special, it's being with family and friends. (cue the sappy sweet sentimental music)

So without further adieu...the wishlist

Exercise...my way, redefined.

Posted by Erin Fugal Sat, 15 Mar 2008 21:43:00 GMT

This morning I was able to attend the birthday celebration for the womens organization in our church. They served us a decent breakfast of hash browns, eggs, oranges and crescent rolls. We then were privileged to hear some beautiful musical numbers and listen to some speakers talk to us about nourishing our bodies, minds and spirits. It was a good reminder and couldn't have been more timely.

I just don't get it!

Posted by Erin Fugal Wed, 12 Mar 2008 22:18:00 GMT

Some things I just don't get.

Lately, I've been catching myself anytime I say "yeah" or "nope"...instead of the much more appropriate "yes please" or "no thank you" respectively. I think our mothers must have been on to something because I don't feel quite as refined when I toss around yeps and nopes all day.

Of course there are other habits like my loud burps that would win the unrefined contest hands down...but hey I'm not supposed to be so refined overnight...one step at a time here. Besides, I heard it causes intestinal distress to hold all that gas in. Same thing with sneezing- I'm not one of those prissy women who sneeze smaller than a mouse does (if mice even sneeze). If you're gonna sneeze, then by all means...SNEEZE!...you'll feel a WHOLE lot better- I PROMISE! Of course if YOU are one of those prissy women, that doesn't mean we can't be friends ;) I just don't get you! ;)

43 things.com

One of the sites I link up to is 43things.com It's a great site where I keep track of what goals I'm currently working on and I can write about what progress I am making on them, and also support other people as they work to achieve their goals. In a way it's a mini blog of sorts- and I actually started out there, before I decided to start up my "real"blog. I just updated all my goals- feel free to scoot on over there and see what I do with all the free time I have as a mother of two (yeah right)

In a shlump of sorts

Posted by Erin Fugal Sat, 02 Feb 2008 03:43:00 GMT

Since I wrote about what my boys are up to, I thought I'd write about what I'm up to, and how it's affecting me. Since having Lachlan back in November I have been taking it pretty easy. It has been a good thing to not be so stressed out, but at the same time- I think I've taken it a little too far.

and now that that's over and it's 2008

Posted by Erin Fugal Tue, 22 Jan 2008 04:02:00 GMT

i've been on a blogging hiatus...but that's ok. Hans and I went up to Utah for a month- from Dec 12-Jan 14th. It was the perfect amount of time (for me anyways) so that I could adjust to having two kids and also just to enjoy being with our family over the holidays. We've been home a week now and we are doing well.

Sorry Daddy-o

Posted by Erin Fugal Thu, 29 Nov 2007 04:16:00 GMT

My dad called me the other day, it was so sweet of him to think of me. While we don't talk much, it's just so nice to hear his voice and know that I'm still his little girl. Lately, the first words out of his mouth are "so when are you moving back" Lately I've been responding "hopefully next December, and if not then May of 2009"

Flylady drop out

Posted by Erin Fugal Mon, 19 Nov 2007 18:13:00 GMT

I don't know how many of you have ever heard of Flylady, but for about 2 years or so I was a "faithful" follower. Ok, ok..I hardly ever wore lace up shoes, and didn't really get to bed on time or get up early, but for the most part I was a good little girl with my routines in place. While browsing blogs the other day, I noticed one lady had listed in her 'about me' page that she was a Flylady dropout! I thought that was so funny and something worth writing about because I am in the same boat now. See?!.....

The cashier, the lady in front, and me

Posted by Erin Fugal Tue, 13 Nov 2007 15:39:00 GMT

Yesterday we went to the grocery store to do our weekly shopping. Aside from the fact that I was uncomfortable with all the extra pregnancy weight taking it's toll on my feet and back, it was a normal trip.

As I'm walking to check out, I ask myself if I want to self-checkout or go to the register. It's always such a dilemma. If I go to the self checkout there is the inevitable struggle with the silly machine saying- "you didn't bag this item, i'm calling security", "please get someone to help you, you moron" and "unidentified item, the F.B.I. will be along shortly"....GRRR!!! It is so frustrating- they say it is "Speedy checkout", but inevitably it takes twice as long as if I had just gone through the line- and yet more often then not I choose the "speedy checkout". EVEN with a grumpy kid and a full load of groceries. Something must be seriously wrong with this lady you might be saying to yourself. Bear with me and see if you aren't more willing to side with me on this.
