the boys and I just got back from a 12 day trip to utah. We had so much fun and only started missing daddy when we reunited with him.
(When Jonathan saw hans again and then hans had to go to the bathroom Jonathan asked me "Where's my dad with the yellow shirt?" I thought it was quite funny seeing as Hans was wearing a yellow shirt.)
Hans on the other hand was here by himself. But I think he had fun. he got to eat all the food he likes and I don't like, things like fish, sardines, meat and reuben sandwiches- bleck. He also was able to watch all the movies I don't care to watch- (men in black, indiana jones, 21, among other things)

anyone who has had a baby can attest to the fact of life that babies can be pretty messy creatures- especially when it comes to their poop. through my first baby i thought i had the removal of bright yellow poop from cute little clothes down. shout was my friend.
this time around, shouting out my stains is just not cutting it. i have given up on one too many onesies- they have all joined their comrades in onesie heaven... until yesterday.
Yesterday was by far the WORST blowout I have ever experienced. It was everywhere, I thought for sure my bed sheets, mattress and the onesie on my child were doomed. I decided to google "baby poop stain remover" and the general consensus was that you should use oxy clean and cold water ASAP in the washing machine and then set out the offending item in the sun to dry.
I didn't test my mattress, but I did exactly as prescribed for the onesie. When I pulled it out of the washing machine the yellow stain was still visible, so I took it outside till it dried. Half hour later I go to retrieve it and lo and behold there is NO sign of YELLOW anywhere.
Victory! HAllelujah! If you are plagued by the yellow plague of death formerly know as baby poop stains- you have got to try this to believe it. I'm a convert!

What a wonderful husband I have. And what a wonderful day today was. Even though I was BLOODY tired today and I was debating whether or not I would be grumpy today as I layed in bed this morning, it turned out perfectly.
Hans let me 'sleep in' till 8, even though Lachlan didn't- he was laying next to me in the bed and kicking me and grabbing my lips and eyes and poking my nose, and just smiling. he's too cute to not look at or pay attention to. It was still restful though just being in bed. I enjoy having the boys wake me up in the morning for the most part. They're both so happy, sometimes too happy, I'm not a morning person- that's something I have to work on.

Yay for Hans! He is working on his comprehensive exam and has a self imposed deadline for April 30. I am so proud of him and he is doing a great job. We're making progress, and if all goes well we'll be out of school in December of THIS YEAR!!! I can hardly believe it.
We have been so blessed financially. We will have enough in savings so that he will not have to work this summer- so he is planning on getting in to research hard core over the summer- no more breaks/vacations. It's all zone time- but he's really good at zoning so I think it shouldn't be a problem.

When we left to Utah, the LAST thing on my list that did NOT get attended to, was someone to watch our fish. I thought since we were gone for over a month (32 days to be sure) that our fish would SURELY be dead. No living thing could survive THAT long without food and clean water...could they?

Well today has come and gone. What I thought was going to be a dull, long, drawn out day turned out to be quite nice. Since I am so ready for this baby to come, he has decided to take his sweet time. I'm a little antsy, so I've had to get creative with how I spend my days after all is said and done. Today was no different.

We can now officially say that baby boy can come anytime now.
(NOTE: Just for the record, my sons name is Jonathan and my husbands name is Hans- I thought I might try and keep those things private, but since I link to other places that clearly give away our identity and several of you have left comments with my families names in them it's pretty much a lost cause)
I gave birth to Jonathan at home and we are planning this birth to be at home as well. I am anticipating having another wonderful experience in the comfort of my own home.

I'm so proud of myself. Yesterday was a wonderful day. I got done early with my 'work' and had the rest of the day to play with my son. It was so nice. We played bubbles, made bread, read books, laughed at each other making silly faces, and just enjoyed each others company. The weather was perfect- this is my favorite time of year to be living in Las Cruces. Not too hot and not to cold, but just right.
