My birthday is coming up this 4th of july, for those of you that care to know- so here is my wishlist if anyone can afford me ;) but gifts aren't what make my birthday special, it's being with family and friends. (cue the sappy sweet sentimental music)

Yay for Hans! He is working on his comprehensive exam and has a self imposed deadline for April 30. I am so proud of him and he is doing a great job. We're making progress, and if all goes well we'll be out of school in December of THIS YEAR!!! I can hardly believe it.
We have been so blessed financially. We will have enough in savings so that he will not have to work this summer- so he is planning on getting in to research hard core over the summer- no more breaks/vacations. It's all zone time- but he's really good at zoning so I think it shouldn't be a problem.

This steve pavlina dude is unbelievable. I mentioned a while back about self discipline and how I'm working it in to my life (or not). I also mentioned steve and his website in that same post. Since I found his site- I have found myself frequenting it more and more. He is amazing in his zeal to improve himself and the life of others. One of the things he does when he wants to make a change is to try that thing for 30 days figuring that it's enough time to gather significant data to see if you want to stick with the change. If you decide that you don't want to- then you can always go back to the old way, but at least you made the effort. Read the articleto understand the logic better. It's really quite simple

One of the sites I link up to is 43things.com It's a great site where I keep track of what goals I'm currently working on and I can write about what progress I am making on them, and also support other people as they work to achieve their goals. In a way it's a mini blog of sorts- and I actually started out there, before I decided to start up my "real"blog. I just updated all my goals- feel free to scoot on over there and see what I do with all the free time I have as a mother of two (yeah right)
